This training focused on creation with the Irivuga dance company in Burundi and is the follow-up to the successful 2019 Acting for Change training that resulted in the performance Les Larmes de Crocodile. This national hit was played in all provinces and was also seen internationally. In the follow-up program, it is the dancers and actors of Irivuga who, under the guidance of LGC’s training team, will master skills that will enable them to create an artistically interesting performance. With intensive training in dramaturgy, didactics, direction and choreography, they are not only performers but also leaders, teachers, creators and coaches. Divided into teams of two or three makers, they work at secondary schools in Bujumbura with 10 to 15 young people on shaping urgent themes that affect young people such as unwanted pregnancy, abuse by teachers and other topics that touch on basic human rights.
